"THE KISS" is the first in a series of drawings chosen to represent the romantic side of the west. Also, it's the first drawing I've done that was "posed". Finally, I guess it's my first "self portrait" (those are my Wilson boots and T-Anchor spurs with the heart-shaped spur/strap button and jinglebobs). I wanted the viewer to use some imagination on this image, and one person did so to the point that he or she secretly removed a framed print of "THE KISS" from a friend's office wall and placed it on the floor, turned around backward so nobody could see the picture!
